Understand your dog
You love your dog. They are a member of the family. You play with them, exercise them, train and socialize them, and give them “the best of everything.” Yet, as much as you try to do everything right, your dog begins to (or continues to) exhibit behaviors that you don’t like and don’t know how to change.
Here’s the thing…
Your dog isn’t human. Your dog understands and navigates the world in a completely different way from you. So if you’re trying to communicate with your dog in the same way you would with a person, you may be unknowingly reinforcing, rewarding, or even creating problematic behaviors. By learning just a little bit of dog behavior and psychology, you can begin to communicate with them on their level, and transform your relationship with them for the better.
Create balance
When we share our lives with dogs, we invite them into a complex human world that, for them, can be overwhelming and confusing. Dogs naturally seek out leadership and guidance, and without it, stress, anxiety, and problematic behaviors arise. I’m here to show you how to communicate effectively with your dog, help them feel calm amidst the chaos, and form a balanced relationship that benefits everyone.
Help your dog live THEIR best life
Once we understand how our dogs see the world, we can become advocates for them. We can move beyond just rewarding and correcting behaviors, to building trust and being more in tune with their state of mind. We can become the leaders they need us to be, which ultimately allows us to move past behavior issues and fulfill our dogs in the ways they need. By learning and implementing foundational skills, we can create a balanced lifestyle that allows our dogs to be the healthy, happy, and well-behaved companions that we know they can be.
